Tiny leftover amounts after fees and change can look like errors in a notebook. Here is how to decide whether to chase them.
During reconciliation, holders sometimes freeze when the public total is a few thousand satoshis below the notebook. Before assuming theft or a lost address, consider dust and fee leftovers from years-old transfers.
In SyncAnalyt sessions we label dust-level gaps as such when the history supports it. That does not dismiss larger missing totals — those get a different mark and a recommendation to pause further spends until you investigate on your own air-gapped setup.
Decide in advance the smallest unit you will bother correcting in the binder. Write that rule on the inside cover. Future-you will thank present-you when a rainy evening reconciliation turns up three dusty remainders and nothing else.
